38mm Cane Porous Spile (Pack 50)

These 38mm softwood cane porous spile are hammered into the shive or bung of the beer barrel allowing controlled venting off of excess carbon dioxide produced from the yeast in the ale during transportation of the barrel. These softwood spiles are an essential requirement when selling cask ale.

Once the venting process is complete, a hard spile is then required to stop any more carbon dioxide from escaping.
