The Blizzard BIM40 ice maker is a self-contained ice machine, which means that the ice maker and the storage bin are one unit and not separate. It produces approximately 36kg of small cube ice, per 24 hours and has a storage bin capacity of approximately 15kg. What is special about the BIM40 is that the ice is produced in the same way that large modular ice makers work. Vertical evaporators are normally used in large, high volume icemakers as this method is considerably faster than conventional sprayer and paddle systems. Featuring adjustable feet, LED internal lighting, operated by opening and closing the bin door, an internal hook for hanging your ice scoop, a pull-out easy to clean air filter, protecting the condenser from dust. All parts including the vertical evaporator are exposed for easy cleaning, using a food-safe sanitizer. There is a simple one-button clean cycle option, for deep cleaning, after all ice is a food product, therefore cleanliness and hygiene is paramount.
It is important in hard or medium water areas an in-line water filter is fitted. Lime-scale can seriously damage your ice maker, as well as significantly reduce the quality and composition of the ice cube. The presence of lime-scale can also create a breeding ground for bacteria.

Please note: this model drains via gravity – no drain pump supplied. An optional external drain pump is required if installing this unit lower than the drain standpipe.
