Our Best In Class Commercial Glass Dryers
A wet glass can quickly ruin a good pint. Lager poured into a damp or warm glass loses its head and goes flat.
During busy service, most bars wash glasses much faster than they can dry them. As a result, drying often becomes the bottleneck.
Commercial glass dryers solve this problem by blowing high-speed ambient air through a full basket of freshly washed glasses. Therefore, staff can avoid drying glasses with overused tea towels.
At Barcare, we offer two commercial glass dryer ranges: the Airack by Clenaware and DriPod by Nordik.
Airack and DriPod Glass Dryers
Both ranges provide a practical way to speed up glass turnaround. However, each offers different controls, construction and sizing options.
The Airack range comes in three sizes for 400mm, 450mm and 500mm glasswasher baskets. Meanwhile, DriPod offers two models covering baskets up to 400mm and 500mm.
Airack models feature an adjustable rotary timer with cycles up to 30 minutes. Therefore, you can set the cycle and leave it running.
After the selected time, the Airack automatically switches off. In contrast, DriPod uses a simple blue illuminated on/off switch.
Construction also differs between the ranges. Airack combines a black powder-coated metal base with a perforated plastic lid.
Alternatively, DriPod uses 304 stainless steel throughout. Consequently, it offers a finish that suits many professional bar environments.
Clenaware provides a one-year back-to-base warranty with Airack dryers. DriPod includes a one-year parts and labour warranty as standard.
Commercial Glass Dryer Prices
Barcare offers Airack and DriPod glass dryers at the same price. You can purchase one for £518.99 excluding VAT.
Alternatively, you can rent a glass dryer for £35 excluding VAT per month. Our rental agreements have a six-month minimum term.
Both ranges use standard 13A plugs and operate from a 220-240V single-phase supply. Therefore, you will not need an electrician.
Simply unpack the dryer, plug it in and start using it. You can position it directly on your bar.
Alternatively, choose a matching stand if you want to keep valuable counter space clear.
Which Glass Dryer Should You Choose?
Your choice largely depends on how your bar operates. Airack gives you greater control through its adjustable rotary timer.
For example, you can select a cycle and let the dryer switch itself off afterwards. DriPod takes a simpler approach.
Switch DriPod on when you need it, then switch it off when you don’t. Its illuminated switch clearly shows its operating status.
Appearance may also influence your decision. Airack has a black finish, while DriPod features 304 stainless steel throughout.
If you value warranty, the warranty arrangements do differ. DriPod includes parts and labour cover, while Airack comes with back-to-base cover.
For particularly busy venues, Airack MAX models use dual fans to increase drying capacity. However, DriPod 500 includes dual fans as standard.
Choosing the Right Size
Your glasswasher basket size should determine which dryer you choose. Matching both sizes makes glass handling quicker and easier.
A 400mm basket commonly suits smaller bars, cafés and single-machine sites. Choose the Airack 40 or DriPod 400.
A 450mm basket often suits medium-sized pubs. Consider the Airack 45, Airack 45 MAX or DriPod 500.
A 500mm basket suits high-volume bars, clubs and event venues. Choose Airack 50, Airack 50 MAX or DriPod 500.
Match your dryer with your glasswasher rack. Then, you can transfer an entire basket without handling individual glasses.
How Long Does a Glass Dryer Take?
Drying times depend on the model, glass type and basket load. Airack gives you an adjustable cycle lasting up to 30 minutes.
However, pint glasses straight from a hot glasswasher will usually need considerably less time. DriPod continues running until you switch it off.
Do Commercial Glass Dryers Need Special Wiring?
No special wiring is required. Every commercial glass dryer we sell uses a standard 3A plug.
Each model operates on a 220-240V single-phase electrical supply. Therefore, installation remains quick and straightforward.
Can I Rent a Glass Dryer?
Yes. Barcare offers commercial glass dryer rental alongside outright purchases.
Rental costs £35 excluding VAT per month with a six-month minimum term. We offer the same all-inclusive terms as our equipment rentals.
How Much Does a Glass Dryer Cost to Run?
Commercial glass dryers use relatively little power. For example, the DriPod 400 draws just 115W.
Meanwhile, the larger DriPod 500 draws 230W. That consumption remains lower than many back-bar lighting installations.
